Australia vs England 2nd Test Day 4 Highlights

Watch cricket highlights: Australia vs England 2nd Ashes Test, Day 4 from Lord’s played on July 19, 2009.

Scoreline: England declare due to a delayed start (Target 522).
Australia 313/5: Michael Clarke 125 no, Brad Haddin 80 no

So 3 bad decisions and all. Not sure if it would have impacted the game another way, but Clarke and Haddin seem to have kept Day 5 very interesting. Must say that though England bowled very well particularly in the first one and a half sessions, there was an air of fear floating around when Ponting was around. Dangerous thing, tomorrow morning.

Michael Clarke played really beautifully today. There’s no other way to put it. When he first came on the scene, personally loathed him as an ordinary version of Slater and an annoying Chris Harris sort of character. Super knock today with Haddin.

England have a new ball to play with tomorrow morning and if they can back themselves to do with it what they did earlier today, they should be able to avoid ending up in a situation that could break them for the rest of the series.

The Ashes continues to entertain.

  3. AB Devil says:

209 on last day…It is possible for Australia but England still have edge. If Australia are going to pull this off, then Clarke & Haddin need to emulate the VVS Laxman/Dravid Eden Gardens 2001 special.
Well one things for sure. I will be up to watch this one! Should be a cracker!

  4. request says:

please dont update the scorecard at the bottom of the videos as most of us here in US are not checking the scores and just watching the highlights as if it is live.
    It just spoils the entertainment.
Anyways good job in putting up these highlights

Not sure why this keeps popping up. The score is well below the eyeline and videos. – Admin

this series is no different to the last ashes aeries played in the UK, a combination of poor poor poor umpiring and freak australian bad luck, poor team aussie selection. Why the hell isn’t stuart clark playing, hes their top rank bowler in the test match rankings. I really cant see the aussies winning this series now, only drawing it to retain the ashes, england have all the momentum now.

  10. request says:

well while scrolling down the screen, it happens that we get to see the scorecard admin.Thats the prob .
Anyways keep up the good work

  11. Mark Waugh says:

Man was it just me or did Michael Clarke hit the sweetest looking cover drive you’ll ever see.. That hummed off the bat. The benifits of playing state cricket along side team mates like of Waugh and Slats…

Great effort on the highlights… love your work.. especially on the Peiterson skit LOL

I dont think Brett Lee’s injuries have helped anyone…

    Fire up aussies

  12. GK says:

Well, the Cricket-online.tv is doing a great job by bringing world of cricket right to your PC. Keep up the good work.

By the by what was the dirty sound I had heard at the point when the English cricketer Kevin Pieterson appeared?

If I am wrong please rewind the footage number 3 to the points when the English cricketer is appearing smearing a lip-balm onto his lips.

It looks like someone out there in Cricket-online.tv with a grudge on Kevin Pieterson.

  13. Noman says:

    f**k off flintoff and that ***** umpire…. stupid a**holes

  14. Dinesh says:

Mate, i thought someoe would most definitely comment about 5:45 in video 3 but seems like I’m the first….love what you did there…reminds me of your comment yesterday
“shift to other ways to keep it interesting which might go unnoticed by you”

@request: why do you scroll down when all the videos are at the start of the page….is the comments section more important than the highlights?!?

  15. Zaqie says:

You guys are doing a fantastic job. And I am liking your lipstick oops sorry slapstick comedy!!!

  16. mohanraj says:

    Nice job keep it up!!!!!

  17. Fez says:

Gary is a nuisance, eh? Just ignore him.

    GK didn’t get the joke.

Imran Khan (not the great) doesn’t seem to agree with the idea that a guy can call another guy cute.

Thanks a lot admin for your continued efforts.

You haven’t commented on my suggestion 2 previous times. So once again,
is it possible that you can make “spacebar” work to PAUSE/UNPAUSE the video? Or is it too hard?

  18. ajenko80 says:

Aussies bat through the first session today and not lose a wicket. Then it’s game on!!!
Flintoff bowled so well yesterday and the Aussies will have to bat out of there skins while the ball is still new in the morning.
But I’ll back em anyday, Micheal Clarke’s innings was special, against quality swing from Anderson and bounce and seam from Freddie.
If he kicks on then we are a big shot, looking forward to another great 5th day
    Go The Aussies

  19. Mister Khan says:

what nice capruated.keep it up with better growing.wonderful work

  20. Mister Khan says:

    thanks Imran Khan

  21. Daveo says:

Flintoff bowled well early on – he’s very aggressive no?

I didn’t think much of Anderson whinging about the Umpire dropping the ball – what a sook – just get on with it. Seriously how much could it damage the ball? Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should…..

Well batted Clarke and Haddin. Aussie pretty unlucky – KAtich out to a no-ball, Hughes out to a bump ball, Hussey out to a non-knick – but then again Haddin should’ve been out to a gloved ball and wasn’t. But I don’t hold it against the Umpires – it’s a tough job. England are lucky though.

Thanks Admin – lol at Hughes and Pietersen skits.
