Once Clarke-North had pulled Aus far away from a loss, Pup metamorphosed into a Benji sort of role trying to stumble his way to a hundred, as things just kept getting in the way.
Nothing seemed to be happening with the ball, but that can often be a reflection on how well the batsmen played to snuff out anything that could have happened. So a good draw for Australia considering a loss was a very likely possibility at the start of play today. At least the Ashes have been kept real alive now; with Lee and Harmison possibly skipping merrily into it soon.
Pre-Play: A result very very possible. Now that Ponting’s gone, personally am looking forward to watching Graham Manou whenever he bats today – something quite cool about him in his short 1st innings knock.

Poor North – did very well – amazing catch by Anderson!
Clarke batted well too – though pretty lucky. He is a great driver of the ball.
Lets hope this England weather holds off and gives results to the next 2 games – which ever team – may the best 1 win (that’d be Australia
