Aus chase quite comfortably Brad Haddin 110, Ricky Ponting 69 | Vettori 10-36-1
Though for most of the game NZ appeared to have run out of steam, something dramatic appeared on the cards when Aus came out to bat until Ponting settled in – as alluded to by Haddin postmatch.

That was really good the last highlights you put together for aus v nz as i didn’t know the result and it was nice to see that little build up of Styris and Ponting talking about Johnson’s behaviour and then the toss.
I really appreciated that and forgot to comment about it as well as the presentation was great work from you thanks alot.
@BOYCOTT: Since many of these feeds are resold rights, often what happens is the telecast gets cut off immediately after conclusion of the game. It’s there on this occasion though.
Also would like to add now that the 5th ODI might not be available because the same channel’s broadcasting the IPL and doesn’t have it listed in its schedule right now.

Thanx for all your great work. Apparantly in the England vs Bangladesh A match there was some freakish hitting off the bowling of Cook and Carberry. Any chance you caught that. This is a longshot. I don’t even know if they have cameras in those matches.

@MarkNota: As you said, I don’t think there was coverage – the channel involved with the tour has been covering the Indian domestic cricket scene. Feel horrible that I missed seeing Cook getting walloped for apparently 111 off his 5 overs

Key for Aus versus NZ is keeping a lid on McCullum/Taylor/Vettori as this trio can smack one-day bowling to the rafters as well as anyone in the world. So the bowlers did their bit and Haddin-Ponting iced it with cool and deliberate hitting — a luxury that batting second often affords.
But why Vettori would chance a quick single after tapping one to an in-close Punter, of all people, is beyond me.
Boy, tough to watch Bondy work so hard for no reward. I say tough, because in the twilight of his tremendous career it’s mostly about simple survival through a spell now with a body that doesn’t rebound as quickly as before.
He’s still as good as there is. Hoping he’s fit for the next one.
After watching it several times, I finally figured out what was in Ponting’s eye: Cameron White’s finger.
