Aus Batting
NZ Batting
Watch cricket highlights of the 5th ODI – Australia vs New Zealand – (to be) played at Brisbane on Friday the 13th, 2009.
Scoreline: Australia 168 in 22 overs. Brad Haddin 88 (65), Callum Ferguson 55 (35).NZ 123/6 in 14 overs – Guptill 64 no (34), Peter Fulton 22 (12), Diamanti 26 no (22). No Result cos of rain.
From being 30/3, Aus pulled off a challenging total through some fantastic clean strikes by Brad Haddin, and what appeared to be either a lucky or well-placed-shots knock by Ferguson. With D/L coming into the picture, the target was revised to 156 in 20 overs.
New Zealand came out more berserk than they needed to be and were soon pretty low at 68/5 in just 6 overs. Guptill appeared to have got the run-chase their way when rain ruined play – 33 were needed off 36 balls at the time. The momentum appeared to have just been with the Kiwis at the time with Australia producing a couple of overs that cost them 30 runs and frustrations spilling over. Since D/L requires each side to have played at least 20 overs the game ended at No-Result. The series being tied 2-2, current holders Australia retain the Chappell-Hadlee trophy and New Zealand will rue what could have been.
Update 2: The game has been converted into a T20 match (22 overs to be exact). NZ won the toss and Aus will bat.
Update 1: It’s raining crazy at Brisbane, so Jason’s sitting quiet, shivering for now.
Pregame: The series is tied neatly at 2-2. Wonder who Jason’s gonna go after on this Friday the 13th.
ITs superb !
wherer can u watch aus vs nz its the lastmatch i want to watch it becausee aus got 2 and nz got 2 so whoever wins then they win the whole series
Aus 41/3 in 7.4 overs
Aus 168/4 in 22 overs
Last 6 overs with a run rate of 5.8 required for New Zealand, I would say new Zealand win this game with ease.
Aus LOST AGAIN.
It was so cold there!
wish the rain didnt ruin it.
