Scoreline: Australia 286/7 – Mike Hussey 83, Brad Haddin 53. SA 145 all out in 33.1 overs. Graeme Smith 52. Nathan Hauritz 4 wickets

Brad Haddin played beautifully before Mike Hussey 83 (79) in the company of James Hopes 38 (35) pushed the Aussie total past 280. While Graeme Smith and Herschelle Gibbs were going gloriously, it did seem like the run-chase was on big time.

Bad umpiring decisions affected either side, but probably not the outcome.

    The nick that Haddin appealed to, and the inside edge LBW is proof enuff that the referral system should be in place for the ODIs…get the players/umpires used to the system first, iron out the bugs, then have it in place for all forms…
