The amazing thing about the manner in which West Indies completely outplayed Australia was that despite their fielding hitting their own unique horrid standards, they won the game with ease. Partly with the ball, but mostly through the Stanford Superstars pair – Chris Gayle and Andre Fletcher. Gayle was so merciless that Brett Lee who’s looked super since his return ended with 4-56-1.
Absolutely must watch stuff. Oh, and Mike Hussey almost reprised his dropped catch of Steyn today, except that this one was tougher and not anywhere near as comical.
Pregame: The maddest group this year, caused apparently by West Indies falling below Bangladesh in the 2005 edition. But then, T20 has slowly humbled everyone (including us viewers) into accepting that there really isn’t such a thing as an easy group or tough group. So maybe it’s just another group after all.
