Watch cricket highlights: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe – the 2nd ODI played at Bulawayo on 11 August, 2009.
Scoreline: Bangladesh 320/8 – Shakib Al Hasan 104 (64), Tamim Iqbal 79
Zimbabwe 271 all out: Sean Williams 75, Charles Coventry 61, Elton Chigumbura 31 (20)
Bangladesh had a remarkable late thrust, going from around 165 in 35 overs to 320 (almost double) in the next 15 overs – mostly through Shakib Hasan’s 2nd 50 runs coming off just 23 deliveries and some poor Zimbabwean fielding. Despite the eventual margin of defeat, Zimbabwe were pretty much in the game right till the end with Chigumbura though a bit too down the order, providing some late hope after Coventry-Williams kept Zim in the game.
A good watch, even for those who usually like games involving higher-ranked teams.
