Scoreline: Cape Cobras 175/5 JP Duminy 61 no (40), Gibbs 42 (27) | Lendl Simmons 3-17-2
T&T win in 19.2 Dwayne Bravo 58 no (34), Darren Ganga 44 no (31)
This game was the closest representative (in recent times) of how control in a T20 game fluctuates within minutes/overs.
Gibbs finally woke up but unfortunately for him, only the usual suspects in Duminy and Langeveldt were turned on in a pressure game.
For the neutral viewer this win by T&T is possibly the best result as it creates a jagged variety in the teams competing the final tomorrow, as compared to if the Cobras were to take on NSW.
Adrian Barath in his debut game the other day didn’t really justify the buzz about Lara giving him more than a nod of approval. He had a shorter stint today but a couple of shots and his late reactions have definitely tossed up a talent that would possibly better express itself in the ODI/Test format where he wouldn’t be under pressure to pull out the slog shots he seems to be going for right now. Even Perkins had an outing a cut above whatever he’s shown this tournament.
Lendl Simmons was shockingly cast aside recently when India played WI – doubt if that’s going to happen again anytime soon once the current issues in WI end.
All of a sudden WI cricket seems to be bursting at the seams with the sort of players that one craved for since Marlon Samuels started his fade-away – and this is only the T&T team that has been on show. This is exactly the kind of statement that must drive those involved closely with WI cricket insane, because talent doesn’t just hop out one fine day. It also shows how ignorant the rest of the cricketing world has been kept with stories of how everyone in the Caribbean were playing other sports like basketball – anything but cricket.
Hearing about the revival of a certain type of cricket (however much you want it to happen) can get exhausting when everyone seems to be saying it over and over and over again. So maybe it’s a good idea to just sit back and enjoy the final game that Trinidad and Tobago put on tomorrow rather than take it any further.

Whatever happens from this point on, T&T have entertained the global cricket community with the kind of WI cricket we have enjoyed over the years. Would certainly love to see them go all they way.

T&T shown that WI side played to bangladesh is not even 2nd Stream team,,,that was last stream team for WI.
I hopw WI may now sort out thier issues and play good cricket as shown by T&T.

As you all could see T&T has a lot of good talented players and yet for some reason or the other cannot make the WI team. This is just part of what is going on in WI cricket. Incompetence and prejudice has plague WI cricket for a long time running and now its too late to reverse it.
