Watch cricket highlights – Chennai Super Kings vs Punjab Kings – the 2nd Leg from IPL 2009.
Scoreline: Chennai 116/9 – Brett Lee 4-16-0, Romesh Powar 4-19-1
Punjab fall away – 92/8 – Muttiah Muralitharan 4-8-2, R Ashwin 4-13-2, Suresh Raina 4-17-2
What a disappointing day of cricket with Rajasthan first out and now, Yuvraj and co most likely out. The 24 run loss also now affects Punjab’s Net Run Rate; so barring a heavy defeat tomorrow, both Deccan and Bangalore can ease into the semis.
A super game for the bowlers with Murali and Lee close to their best. Sreesanth too looked a bit like his tour-of-SA self apart from his usual snides to batsmen. Bailey got another game with Chennai unwilling to play Hayden despite his recovery from injury, but the lack of Mahela in a low-total chase must be the main rue-point for Mohali. But then, you’d expect Yuvraj and Sangakkara to do it anyway. So that’s it – IPL 2008 seems headed towards the predicted finish, barring some outright brilliance from either Bangalore or Deccan. What a shame.
Pregame: Win this and Punjab are through, while Chennai will know if a shock exit has happened for them – this depends on the Royals having a really huge win over Kolkata
Recall: Punjab fell just short chasing – Chennai vs Mohali Kings – 1st Leg

chennai win
was waiting so eagerly for the highlights…plz put it fast!!!
that music during the runout was hilarious
its a shame for punjab that they cudnt pull out a victory against chennai even in the absence of hayden, hussey n morkel..dhoni is a fantastic captain and he proved it once again!!
Muralitharan chucks. Match result therefore inapplicable.
ha ha ha punjab hari
Chennai rox!!!
Ms Dhoni is a fantastic captain…ur the best…
It’s an SIPL’09 all the way , South Indian Premier League !!!!
All in all it’s victory for cricket and not a disappointing day. Just shows how a team in the deepest of sh*t could prove to turn tables around and topple the champs (Just like the elections). Love this sport like nothing ! Kudos IPL
Priety, I love you, but don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Krish Shrikanth does make noise but he’s filled to the brim with intel. Suresh Raina should cement his place in the National Squad. Sreesanth provoked him abusing, using foul language, perhaps the bloke got the cue from his captain and was calm throughout , and even magnanimous to offer the clown a piece of advice to keep his head cool.
