The stalemate across a session and a half was mostly caused by the righthanded Bravo facing up to Harris while Chanderpaul met the pacers. With Bravo determined not to fall to the Harris line and Chanderpaul pitching tent, hardly any singles were taken to change ends. But given the Windies recent streak, a stalemate draw is a better situation to be in than another loss. SA on the other hand, having been the dominant team all tour, should have done better than counting on a mental breakdown.
