Hey admin. If batsman breaks wicket he is out! At either end. Why didn“t anyone appeal? Or do I have that wrong?
@wagaman: if you’re referring to Irfan Pathan colliding into the stumps at the nonstrikers end – no. “Hit wicket” comes into the picture only at the batsman’s end.
But this brought up a weird thought – what if while running to the other end, the batsman out of desperation or while falling over himself sends his bat flying onto the stumps, thereby dislodging the bails before the fielder’s throw (which is on target) hits the stumps – i suppose he’d then be given out for obstruction.
