Watch cricket highlights: England vs Australia – the 3rd ODI played at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on September 9, 2009.

Scoreline: (Toss-Eng) Eng 228/9 Andrew Strauss 63 (72), Eoin Morgan 43 (57) | Mitchell Johnson 10-1-39-2, Watson 8-36-3
Aus 230/4 Cameron White 105 (124)

You put KP back in that middle order and suddenly England are watchable again – today and for some time going ahead, KP won’t be there; so a limp batting display again which is a shame ’cause Strauss was playing beautifully – that is, as beautiful as Strauss can get. Morgan, the Irish guy who’s opted for England, hung around but barring a reverse-sweep didn’t really put on show his alleged hurling skills.

Despite the limpness infecting the fielding, the bowling was fairly good for England (Anderson in particular) – it also did help that Clarke was terrible. Which reinforced the superness of White’s hundred, cos every time Clarke had one of his nervous giggly phases, White would cream a boundary and all would be calm again. Paine is a strange character to watch – he’ll look boring as hell and then play a nice shot out of nowhere – the way he’s been leaving the ball, Kallis must be fidgeting somewhere.

    Really appreciate it.

  4. ben dover says:

England were shockingly bad with the bat, they were lucky to make 200. Australia never looked like losing

  5. t jumper says:

yo england lost all its class! without KP, Flintoff they are even worse. To be quite honest its a sh*t team. and like the jamaican commentator was saying “dont blame 50/50 cricket for being long, blame he PLAYERS!”. India is probably the most exciting team to watch in any format of the game, SA is pretty good aswell. England need to step up

  6. naz says:

Good job Australia.C.White is doing really well along with c.ferguson.Now we all want to see Tom Cooper(S.Australia) in the line up.I haven’t seen him batting yet but he is a very hard hitting top order batsman.Last year in domestic oneday competition he has done really well.I believe he could be the best top order batsman for Australia than anyone else.

i must say T Jumper india are pretty boring… the players are repetitive and the bowlers arent that great either… im gona say south africa has got exciting young talent whiich makes it interesting to see how the players evolve!!
and FLINTOFF is OVER-RATED his stats dont match up to what everyone says about him…. he was mildly average!!

Hey whiteboy/iamwhite – have to disallow your comments as it would trigger a needless non-cricket debate here, which I’m not interested in handling. – Admin

  9. naz says:

Then you do not know indian cricket very well r3ubs.Yes you are right their bowlers are not very good but competitive and their batsman shewag(s/R 101)in oneday as an opener with an average 35+ and test avg 50+.Can you show me one more better opener than him in today’s cricket.MS Dhoni, Y.Singh( S/R 90) with an avg 50 & 35, Y.Pathan(s/R 100+),G.Gambir(s/R 86) and we don’t want to talk about Sachin and Rahul cause we all know what they have achieved.S.Africa is very good as well but but Indian batsman are exciting.

  10. r3ubs says:

Hey NAZ i no but im bored or seeing sehwag and all them indian legends because im over them…. even the new good talent are boring like Gambir…
well we all have our opinions and thats just mine..

  11. r3ubs says:

oh and naz i must say Dhoni is way over-rated… his batting is average, but his wicketkeeping is shocking, his wicketkeeping stance is bad, movement is bad (he doesnt use his feet), just his whole style is bad!

congrats Oz and thx Admin. That was not a very good game to watch – i hope England can get it together a bit for the remainder.

Hi Admin, sorry to disturb again- now I have tried everything- Direct links – firefox- emptying and filling caches- smoking a lot- whatever- the videos just don´t get going at all. Sorry.

Vid 4 was not working a few minutes back – video site issues – but it’s back now. Videos on the net are a big nuisance unless it’s Youtube which anyway boots you quite rapidly. That it is football weekend must also be messing with things bigtime – Admin
