The two sides’ batting today just reinforced the brilliance of the Broad spell on Day 2. On that note – disappointingly, the Oval crowd seem to have found a new hero for the Flintoff’s-on-bring-on-the-cheers thing. Today, when Freddie came on, he just about managed a lukewarm round of cheers seemingly from hardcore loyalists, unlike Broad. Stuart deserves every bit of those cheers, but so does Flintoff, considering he’s been used to it everytime he bowls in England, particularly, this Ashes. Heroes can’t and shouldn’t change overnight.
Trott got the fantastic hundred, debut and all, but it was Strauss in the morning session who laid out a 500 plus target by first blunting and later stroking away. While, the Trott innings was assured and more importantly oblivious to the impact it could have on a series, the furious panting strokes were left to Swann.
Took a look at the odds to see if they were worth taking a punt on an Aussie win – a draw obviously was the highest hovering around the 17/1 mark while a win for Australia stood at 4/1. By the time Aus got to 50/0, it had dropped to 7/2. Atherton would later raise this very point on air to which Botham said – shows how much faith the bookmakers have in England. Amazing. Considering how far away Australia still are.
Regardless of whether it has any role to play in a ridiculous possibility, what the Ashes needs is a Ponting special tomorrow and a Flintoff burst to close out what has been a pretty captivating series.

The people who complain are just ignorant, and should be happy to put up with the occasional hitch and appreciate that they’re getting this for free! There is something wrong with your loading. it will not play after a certain point even if it loads till the end
Not sure if this is the reason, but have noticed that sometimes if you try to drag the scroller on the video along portions not yet buffered, it gets stuck and refuses to play. Try a refresh and avoid the scroller like the swine flu virus. – Admin

To all the Ponting haters: he can’t be that bad of a bloke if he approaches Freddy to acknowledge what a great player and career he’s had can he? And this’s considering Freddy is a very hostile player, who’s gone out of his way on many occasions to get in Oz’s face – so pretty good sportsmanship really.
Tomorrow will be very interesting. England def. have the upper hand, but a good psychological win for Oz this arvo to be 0/80.

Hey, and I’m watching eagerly from Utah. So what if it takes time to load — all you have to do is PAUSE it, go eat a pizza or take a dump, then come back and watch later when it has all loaded. Works like a charm so STOP bitching about it. You’ve got to realize viewer interest is at an all time high here. The alternative is not to have this site at all so shut the hell up you idiot whiners.

Day 5 Video II has a problem. It just stops exactly after 1:00 min. I’m not doing anything. Also this is the only video that I’m having problem with(and I have watched over > 100 on this site). Would you please re-check? Anyone else having the problem?
