Scoreline: England 289/7 – Ravi Bopara 118 no – Fidel Edwards 4 wickets
Exit IPL, enter international test cricket and a good hundred by Bopara follows. Not without luck though. A pretty plumb LBW and horrible catching by the West Indies played their part. The WI catching was very good in the morning but what followed in the post-tea session was the sort of frustrating cricket we’ve seen time and time again from the West Indies over the recent years. Good stuff though from Bopara and the other English batsmen who made those lives count for something.
