Watch cricket highlights of the 5th day of the 5th Test – West Indies vs England played at Trinidad.
A very late post cos of Champions League action disrupting the telecast. But an exciting finish to the day’s play that’s worth a watch.
Scoreline: England 237 dec, KP hundred 102 (92), Matt Prior 61 (49). West Indies 114/8 – Ramdin battles it out with lower order.
After pulling off an amazing draw in the 3rd Test on Day 5, West Indies did it again in the final test to take the series 1-0. During the test, in fact right from the start of the test, the West Indies’ blatant nod towards a draw drew a lot of criticism, most of it probably deservedly. But England too need to cop it – forget the declaration timing etc – the problems started in their 1st innings. Batting first, most of the top order hardly showed an intent to get on with the game (notwithstanding the sometimes negative bowling tactics by WI). Take a look at some of their scoring rates – Strauss 142 (271), Owais Shah 33 (118), Collingwood 161 (288).
Anderson did bowl well on the final day (in fact through the series, he’s been pretty keen), but without Flintoff (and in my world, Harmison when he’s switched on) the ability to bowl out West Indies yet again was elusive.

thanks man i have been waiting for these!
