Forum Added

A forum has been added here: Cricket Online TV Forum.

A forum is something that was called for here several months back by some users, but given the pace at which things move here , it took a while to get around to it and finally has been gotten ready on the eve of the IPL, though the intention was a month back – before the SA tour of India. It is pretty basic right now. Will tweak and add to it slowly.

In addition to discussing current matches (highlights of which are currently provided here), there are several other forums open to your thought. However, the way the system works, you will need to register first (free) before posting. That disadvantage aside, like with all forums, new discussions on cricket can be initiated by a user – something which was limited on this site until now. In addition, since the forum functions like a very basic social networking site, it will in time better increase the interactions between members, particularly those located in non-cricketing countries.

I will be keeping the comments on the highlights section of the site open for the following reason:
1. To allow thoughts of the casual commenter.
2. Being someone who doesn’t like the concept of registrations myself, don’t want to force anyone to have to register at the forum before commenting.

Due to some tech differences between the site and the forum, a registered member at the forum while commenting on this site (highlights) will not have the option of his profile/username simultaneously showing up here. To work around this, every match here will also have a simultaneous post in the forum, where you can discuss it as a forum member (if interested)

To start with, like the comments here, all postings will be moderated. In time, depending on how things go, will remove active moderation from the forum. If you do decide to register, please allow for some time for email confirmation etc, before you can start posting

Please read the FAQ over at the forum for more details.
