Haven’t felt this downed by a match since France lost the football World Cup, and a decade earlier – the Chennai game vs Pakistan. But I shall have my vengeance – over the next few days, will be putting out some Tendulkar specials.
The 5th Ban-Zim ODI won’t be available – usually there are no repeats – but even the live telecast for some strange reason today wasn’t there – instead on was the Ranji Trophy.

A combination of bad luck, idiotic server admins who sold me a server that never took off, and my own mental fatigue. Just want to thank user Julian Chandra for his mail that eventually helped me out and found me the current server

Please add my own lack of tech expertise and stupidity (in believing the false promises of the earlier server chaps) to the list of reasons why the site was down for over a week
SRT out of respect for Kapil Paaji had a momentary hesitation at 175.Though that number has been surpassed severaltimes,a shiver runs thru ur spine when at that score. He shuld have jumped across that number.. But that slight weakness was enuf …Ponting who has an encylopeadic memory was always waiting for that moment…when SRt crossed 100..he knowing indian kulture vary well double know that his only chanas would be the 175 mark. Alas..atleast Kapil paaji would be boogeying away the nite ,safe in the knowledge that in Bharat desh ke memory 175 number would be reserved for him(not out.. mind it)

The site has enough problems without live streaming to add to it. Indian chase is a little delayed but a look at 24:00 GMT should be a decent time to watch some of it – Admin

Well today it’s delayed more than usual cos of the site limping back. On other days, it depends on the nature of the match – if one can’t take one’s eyes off the game, how does one get to work on making the highlights – Admin

India really sucks.. a game that they should have won.. If we see in this series all the games India lost had Australia been in that position they would have won it.. A bunch of careless players… Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel should be given life ban.. They can neither bat nor field.. they are a liability…. I dont know why do the selectors select them… And why Ravindra Jadeja he just cant bat…. The india team selection baffles me sometimes…

Its not just the 4’s and 6’s , sometimes it is the few balls before it also that make it special. the way the battle shapes up between bowler & batsman, what goes on in their minds, who is able to outthink the other & who is able to react better.. SACHIN IS THE BEST.

I agree completely with you. It has been a long time since I too have felt so down after a game. There is no point saying anything. I feel I have enough material to write a PhD on how to lose games that are won basically. It takes a lot of talent to do that.
It may be harsh to think so, but these guys are getting a chance to play for their country, thousands of people would give their left arm for that. There are no excuses to keep losing from strong positions time and again.
Man you do a great job with the site, I hope whatever drives you to keep doing this, keeps driving you.

It was disappointing to see INDIA losing the match, but “Sachin” he was just amazing.
INDIAN team it doesn’t matter you win or loose, but just give your best shot. Please don’t just give up at any stage of the match.

This game reminded me of a game between India and Pakistan in Karachi that India won but Pakistan Chased very well and they reached 344 chasing 349 until Moin Khan wasted a handful of opportunities to win the game in the last over.
Anyway today it was a very special inning from Tendulkar and I am sure it was a treat to watch for all the cricket fans around the world. There were some mouth watering shots by the Little Master.
As far as Australia is concerend I think people give a bit too much credit to Australians for winning matches like these (especially against sub continent teams) because I think most of the time teams like India and Pakistan throw away games like these from a winning position all because of some unknown Australian effect. I am sure that any other team like SA would have won this match but not India or Pakistan. Lack of believe to win against Australia in my opinion.

wow, wat an amazing match, absolutely loved it. great batting from the aussies…and sachin, wat a legend, u could tell he he didnt care about any of the prizes, he just wanted india to win obviously, a great innings. australia, wat a performance, 351 runs and to take 10 wickets on a pure batting pitch, awesome stuff. the reason why australia won is because every1 contributed, whereas in india, it was only sachin who played a lone hand along with raina. even with all the injuries that australia have had, they were victorious and prove to be the better team.
Admin I agree with your comments. This one and the chennai knock are a carbon copy. Despite the fact that tendulkar has 17,000 ODI runs and some 13,000 test runs- I think if he had a choice he would gleefully have given up a few thousand runs away just to get a few more in these two games. Once again his century goes begging in a losing cause!!!

first of all, you rock… the highglights on this site are cut wonderfully welll, and make clear that you are a true aficionado of the game – there are never mindless 4s and 6s but a lot of crucial little peices which is why it never feels like you are watching a bastardization of the real thing.
alos thanks for getting the pakistan games up as well, was fretting cuz without this site there is literally no place to watch decent stuff. everyone else had only posted the pakistani batting, while your highlights showcased how sublime the bowling was.
finally, on to the match itself, lara and tendulkar the greatest batsmen of the modern era have an inordinate amount of classic losing innings. at least lara can point to a shit team. tendulkar must wonder why the rest his team refuses to play when he does so. get the feeling that the indian team would only realise its potential once he retires, cuz something about him clicking makes the rest fail miserably. thoughts?

Great game and innings from Sachin. However hats off to the understrength Aussies for hanging in there and pulling off an amzing win from the jaws of defeat. It will be remarkable if they win this series considering how weak their bowling looks due to injuries. India will be kicking itself if that happens.
I cant believe Dhoni had not much praise for Sachin either. I think Sachin deserves more respect from his captain, rather than leaving it to Ponting to do the praising. I am really surprised at Dhoni’s strange behavior.

Firstly – Admin you’re a champ for posting these highlights.
Secondly, about the game – SRT is a champion and India is a team of champions (SRT, Dhoni, Yuvi, Sehwag, etc). However, Australia is a Champion Team… and played just like one by escaping certain defeat. Man they know how to fight and have a great team spirit, despite the big names missing.
I hope this series goes down to the last match.

Okay, so the site’s down for a week but Admin had a safety valve set up at the blogspot website to ensure we didn’t miss anything. What a great guy!

It seemed to occur after one had played through, and at the end of the video, rather than just resetting it advertised the next in the series (in small clickable links that scroll across the screen), which seemed to affect the next video whilst it was playing – does that make sense?

An amazing game again! I just can’t believe that India lost. feel really bad for Sachin, but credit goes to Aus for holding their nerves in at the end and getting some amazing run outs. I feel that the only reason that India lost was because of their poor fieldng and bating. The only good batters from India’s point of view were Sachin and Suresh.

I’m a little disappointed to see Tendulkar throwing away his wicket after working hard throughout his innings(and mind you he was very lucky many a times in it).
How many times have we seen Tendulkar play a stunning knock like this and yet fail to finish it off in India’s favor?
I used to love Tendulkar in 90’s when he was a true cricket player who cared about playing for his nation.
I’m happy for him but not at the way his career has shaped up. A player of his caliber should have been able to at least bring 1 world cup home.
This is why I like players like Sehwag, Raina, Dhoni, Yuvraj…who play as a team.
I just say “Sachin is great in whole cricket history”. India should won this game. I am little doubt about Indian team selection, why Jadeja, Praveen , Nehra include every single game. Nowadays Ishant is best bowler in this format. Where are Sreesanth, Pathan, RP singh and Ojha?
what a great match!!! The turning point was that of Raina’s wicket. Raina did not have to slog at this crucial time, even though sachin was there. The ball was not proper for the hook/slog shot.
with all due respect to Great Sachin, Sachin has always this had habit of getting out at the most crucial moment of the match. I was guessing the same way when he was around 160. And the same thing happened. India required 19 in 17 balls with both Sachin and Hadeja at crease. Who would have though that India will going to loose this match from here onward. I guess only “bookies”.
But great admiration for Ponting’s very young and experience less team who showed great courage, determination and hardwork

people that is what tendulkar wanted! dhoni hates tendulkar. Thanks why tendulkar played a silly shot and got out. Obviously dhoni would have got all the recognition. I am happy that tendulkar played a good knock and dhoni did not win. Its all politics going on in Indian cricketn team. No body plays for INDIA. They all are playing for themselves. They earn enuf money through sponsors , advertisement and stuff.Playin for India is not a big deal for them. Its just another match!
