India vs Australia Highlights | Champions Trophy

Rained out

Watch cricket highlights: India vs Australia at the 2009 Champions Trophy played on September 27, 2009.

Scoreline: Australia 234/4 (42.3) – Rain washes out game – Ponting 65, Hussey 67, Cameron White 30 no, Paine 56 | Ashish Nehra 8-38-1

Damn rain.

Ponting brilliant against pace conservative vs spin but at least looking to use his feet; Nehra super by a distance; Harbhajan and Ishanth seemingly weighed down by their good records vs Ponting; Mishra (in for Yusuf) and Praveen Kumar (for RP) pretty cool; Mike Hussey so efficient in his run-collecting no one apart from the team total gave a damn – thank Australia for Cameron White.

very tough day for both teams.. i think australia is favt, because indian bowling is really week. today’s match just depend on indian batting.. if they score above 300 to 320 so they can fight otherwise its hard to win the match.

  2. Pak-Man says:

I Agree with Pakstar there…….I’m loving every moment of CT……….Cricket..what a GREAT game…..

Gambhir, sachina, dhoni, raina will be the key … India has to win the toss today and shud bat 1st …

  8. love india says:

espcailt to day they will not repaet thier mistake wich they do agiast pakistan to day they need to play gather

  9. suresh says:

Todays match is in Dravids hands !!! , we never know whether he is playing for India or Australia .

    Be ready for surprise

  10. pakistar says:

i love ghambir betting,, he is such a lovely batsman who has all cricketing book shorts. dravid is key player for india, because he always to safe other end, if other players not give the support to dravid so he cant do any thing single handly, dravid is naturly deffensive player and his job is just stay on the wicket and rotate the strike. i not agree that indian team is strong, i thing southafrica was the strongest team in the event, then pakistan, australia, and india on 4th no. but girtey hein barey barey se sawaar medaan e jung main, i think england will qualify for final, i love morgan batting,, he is such a lovely batsman.

  11. dev says:

  15. Manpreet says:

we are missing SEhwag , Yuvraj and Zaheer

  16. angelo says:

india’s bad luck, they field first. but this match sachin must score over hundred so indians can confident batting that way india will win the game.

  17. Thai says:

Wish our great teams for great match.. Thanks for the highlights…

  18. shanon says:

ya india must miss those 3 , but still i think they are a strong team , if they can give their 100% then they must do beeter than they did against pak
definately they will miss zaheer most at this circumstances

  19. rockey says:

i love to watch gambir batting and dravid as long yuraj and shewag batting im sure if yuraj and shewag would play this match india would defenitly win this match.

  20. steve says:

india and australia has always been good in the spirit and class of international cricket, especially in the limited over version of the game. They are both my favourite teams, even though i give the edge to india more.If india has to chase a huge total, the aussies will take it quite easily,if sachin does not click.India has to chase with competitive spirit and not lose their wickets carelessly, like they have shown in the past game versus yhe pakis. If india wins, they will be in because the west indies will be a walk over, they have disgraced the caribbean people as a cricket team.I just hope my friend travis dowlin from guyana plays well, he was always good as a player in high school, best of luck to india

  21. admin says:

Youtube and Dailymotion are still having problems.

  22. MH says:

Is it just me or has Ishant Sharma lost 10km off his bowling or is bowling a little slower for the ODI. He was bowling in 140km-145km when he was in Australia as far as i remember.

  23. r3ubs says:

MH- thats because of the pitches!!
    a bit slower in SA!!

  24. admin says:

@MH – Akram on air recently picked out a change in Ishanth’s action that was causing the drop in pace

  25. Sikander says:

We want see India vs Pakistan in final..

    Asian teams ur rock……..
    All the Best….

  26. HAZZ says:

if India still wants to go in semi final then they have to beat West Indies with a very huge margin and Pakistan have to beat Australia then there is some chances for India to play semi finals otherwise no
Pakistan and England are the first teams from their groups to be in the semi final

  27. Sandun (A Sri Lankan) says:

At Last.. There is Something That Our Indian & Pakistani Friends Can Cheer Together… If India Want To Keep Semi Final Hopes Alive, Pakistan MUST beat Australia on Wednesday…. Lets Cheer For Pakistan… Btw, Don’t Forget To Cheer England Tomorrow :)

  28. Gillbart says:

    Hai Sirs,

Cricket videos through DailyMotion are really sickening and testing our patience too much….no video is completing its full time without causing trouble or pausing for ever!

YouTube was working so wonderful….what happened to it?

Is there anyway possible to bring youtube back to shower all these memorable highlights?

    Regards,
    Gillbart

  29. roomy says:

    love pakistan

  30. roomy says:

INSHALLAH pakistan is the champion 2009 again.

  31. extremer222 says:

o indian team is just a crap. okay. pakistani drilled them. now they will be out competition

  32. Jigs says:

Thank god for the rain otherwise would have been another embarrassing defeat for the boys in blue. Aussies were sure heading for another 300+. Anything over 250 to chase and you can go all in on the other team and you will win 9.9 times out of 10. Sucks to be an Indian right now.

BTW, why is Bhajji – a fast bowler in disguise – even in the team. He delivers once in a blue moon and you all crazy fans hail him to the moon like you did Gangs!

  33. Jigs says:

And for all crazy reasons why is Rohit (Sharma) not even in the team. This guy is our next Sachin and should be given every chance to be and play alongside the legend. And boy, don’t people have short term memories, this guy even took a hatrick in the last IPL and he is a decent bowl.

  34. pooja says:

    what a bating australia great

  35. Reddy says:

U r a stupid guy sikander how can two teams from the same group go into the final — lol

  36. Bilal says:

    Hi admin

What do you mean by “@MH – Akram on air recently picked out a change in Ishanth’s action that was causing the drop in pace”

You mean during the game Ishanth changed his action and thats the reason his pace reduced in the later overs

  37. Daveo says:

thx again Admin. What a shame the game was rained out!

Good to see Hussey get runs – he’’s been quiet recently. Ponting again – what great form he’s in – so consistent!.

I think Paine is doing well at the top. He’s not the best batsman, but has been doing quite well – bit of a fighter.

First time I’ve seen Nehra – he looks like a pretty good bowler.

  38. SD says:

    drsvid-pure masterclass-everyone else in indian team excluding sachin and amit-pure garbage-especially ishant(what a disgrace)

  39. SD says:

    drsvid-dravid

  40. bharat says:

india can won dis match bt f**kin rain………..

  41. admin says:

@Jigs – he had picked up a shoulder injury some time back – not sure if he was dropped from the squad before or after that

@Gilbart: Dailymotion servers are down (for the last week) so any video hosted on their servers either gives a Please Reload Page or plays and stops. Had contacted them and they replied that it was a serious issue that would take some time. Youtube was down too recently in some parts of the world, became fine but is once again acting funny – uploaded videos either process endlessly or don’t upload at all. Having tried every other video site option in the past, Sapo is the best fallback option despite its slowness

@Bilal – Akram said his wrist was falling away at the time of delivery which was causing a drop in pace and the ball to slide towards leg

  42. Dylan Wije says:

    Admin..what would I do without you…

    That was loin-curdling – Admin

  43. Shah says:

    Greetings admin,

First and foremost, thank you so much for the free highlights. Secondly, Sapo is working just fine, video quality and what not. Keep up the great work!

  44. malik says:

Please put youtube links caz it works mobile phones…… I can’t watch em on mobile n my pc is f**ked up…

  45. Admin is a racist says:

where are my comments that i post in this website??? you don’t have the right to take off comment that u don;t like and put the comments u like… u r a racist….

Considering the amount of comments I need to wade through and delete everyday in addition to watching the game, making highlights and running a site, I’m not sure what your earlier comments were. Considering that they haven’t appeared here, it’s quite likely they were offensive to a country/community or were not cricket related. But yeah, in a way what you say is right about what i like etc cos this opinion on whether a comment should pass through is largely subjective and also based on the teams involved. With subcontinent teams, it tends to be a little stricter as fans tend to be a little more touchy. By the way, I’m Indian, before anyone starts screaming hoarse about that next. – Admin

  46. Wish our great teams for great match.. Thanks for the highlights…
    I LOVE AUSTRALIA CRICKET TEAM.

  47. wagaman says:

who said australians can´t play spin?-
who said australians can´t play spin?-
who said australians can´t play spin?

    looked pretty convincing to me.

  48. khan says:

india is the best team playing with the best players like dravid n dhoni n sachin, and india deserved to win this competition but unfortunately the rain………….!

  49. cakehammer says:

Cant wait to see the west indies send down a barrage of short-of-a-length hostile deliveries against the Indian batsmen. It wouldn’t surprise me if India make a bit of a mess of the WI game but their spinners, Mishra and Harbajan, should save coz WI batsmen will probably struggle against spin.

  50. mubee says:

indian played good but sadly wasn,t good enough. see u again.
