In pitch conditions like this, what Pakistan needed apart from the disciplined bowling by Akhtar-Aamer were a few unplayable deliveries they are capable of pulling out, because this Indian batting lineup (bar Jadeja) was quite equipped to handle the chase so long as they were playing in risk-free mode. And Ajmal was probably the only one who repeatedly was able to do this. In the end, India just about made it, but when you think about the overall cricket played by the two teams, like in the Champions trophy game (won by Pak), it was the better team that won on the day.
Gambhir is a weird batsman to predict with regard to form because he can be in play-and-miss mode and still scratch himself to a 50. But like most batsmen have their own little tell-tale signs regarding the state of their game, Gambhir’s little shimmies in the game vs B’desh (evident after quite a while) are possibly his giveaways about how confident he’s feeling about his game regardless of fluency.

Its unheard of to have ADS popping up MIDWAY thru a video segment. Its like the IPL timeout. Annoying, worst timing, and distracting from the action.

can i kindly request one thing? it will be nice not to have ads at crunch moments in the game. spoils the entire mood. you can put it in the beginning and at the end. but if you keep it MIDWAY through when harbhajan hits a six off the penultimate delivery – i dont know who will be pleased watching that ad. would be more a negative influence for the marketeer than anything. you can convey that to them. but thanks overall for the highlights.

i am not agree with you while you say gambhir is hit and miss player. He is not classy but he is modern player who is able to spoil any bowler’s line length. he is not afraid to come down the wicket to seem bowlers.
He was rocking in test by hitting consecutive 4 centuries and he also rocks here.
unlike other cricketers, he is down to earth and not affected by stardum of IPL.
@Not agree with you: I actually enjoy watching Gambhir bat – i was talking about when he’s not playing well he’s the type of player who can still get a 50. So, at any given point, just by looking at his recent stats it’s not easy to figure out whether he’s in form or not.

One has to love and appreciate the competitive nature of Gambhir. I love his patriotism and he is solid for India. Having said that, I don’t blame opposition fans to hate Gambhir and his guts. Do you think Dhoni is dating Jadeja? I do not see any other reason why he keeps Jadeja in the playing level ahead of Pathan/Yuvraj/Uthappa.
By the way, one crucial thing that helped India win was the splendid Pakistan fielding.
All in all a good game played by both sides.

I noticed that DailyMotion has gone berserk with the ads. I can see their reasoning. No body goes to their site (due to YouTube’s monopoly) and they want to maximize their profits with whatever limited traffic they have. I suggest to have a look at alternatives like LiveLeak, or blip.tv.
Pakistan deserved to loose this match.They very simply pathetic in the field. Probably the worst match in terms of fielding i`ve ever seen from Pakistan`s perspective.

@Matt: The video ads that kind of take up a portion of the screen while the match is playing is added by Neo the broadcaster. the ads that appear before the video starts and in the middle somewhere are added by Dailymotion.

Great highlights. Need to fix this mandatory advertisement stuff. You can’t impose advertisement with no control over volume while ads plays. It will bring money to your site but people gets irritated with this mandatory ads and get aversed from the stuff that they are advertising. I have seen lot of sites where there is some thing imposed on people mandatory loosing their credibility and ratings.
You guys have done lot of good for game of cricket and you need to re-think about this ads as it is not helping to maintain the credibility of your deeds.
