Chris Gayle kicked off the rainy day looking to bludgeon his KKR teammate Ishanth Sharma out of international cricket. Gayle does get into intimidating positions while batting, but some of them against Sharma today were almost like he’d just been released from a 25 year term in a puritanical prison and upon taking a walk through some dark woods had stumbled upon Ishanth tied invitingly to a tree.
The WI score after a brief lull following Gayle’s premature end, eventually reached a tight target after a couple more rain interruptions.
It was then the turn of the overhyped tale of the short ball against Indian batsmen (barring Raina, who does have a problem) to hit a writer’s block with Karthik looking super and Gambhir nudging his way and riding his luck towards some place close to where he was a year back.
It’s always good to watch someone who’s being torn apart bounce back. I’ve hated several aspects of Dhoni-the batsman’s devolution in the last couple of years leading into the T20 World Cup, but some of the comments on this site seemed a trifle unfair and it was exciting to watch him pull off an 11 run final over after his misery in the final stages of the T20 WC game vs England. So 2-1 it is to India to set up a super clash in the final game on Sunday.

Tried to sleep, but tossed around in a nightmare involving a couple of midgets with leaves around their waists impaling me on a cricket bat while shouting. “Where are the highlights you c*nt. Thanks to Admin. Great to see presentation. Dhoni batted well, his batting strike rate is up, but I would like to see his ‘speech rate’ go down. Was too fast.

If I’m not mistaken, this will only be the 2nd ODI series we’ll win(i.e. if we win/draw the 4th ODI) in West Indies. I think this will silence some of Dhoni’s critics, because most Indian Captains couldn’t even achieve 1 win in a decade…
If he works hard on his batting technique, I can see him surpassing the likes of Hansie Cronje, Steve Waugh and Imran Khan.

Aslk, They r playing a good cricket be-half of virender sehwag but we want to see him again in squard before Champions Trophy becouz he is amazing guy & he is mind blowing when he start the game Absoultely fabolous to see him.i hope he l be back after this series.and take to Irfan phathan bcouz he is also amazing allrounder.(best of luck 4 team india up coming matches or series).
