Watch cricket highlights – Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals from IPL 2009.
Scoreline: Rajasthan 211/4: Graeme Smith 77 (44), Naman Ojha 68 (51)
Punjab 133/8 – Yuvraj Singh 48 – Amit Singh 4-9-3
Fore-play: The top order of Rajasthan finally gets sorted out, Graeme Smith bats for the first time this IPL like himself and the Royals post the first 200+ score. Naman Ojha, who over the last couple of games replaced Rawat as keeper, pulled out some beautiful clean strikes before Smith took over. The Punjab chase appeared blind to the target and is worth a watch primarily for Yuvraj taking on Warne big time. Yuvraj Singh oddly came very low down – and appeared pretty disgusted even before the virtual chase took off.
PrePlay: Punjab have opted to bowl, with Sreesanth back in the side. For Rajasthan, Kamran Khan seems doomed to miss the tournament after a technical committee recommended a two-week rehabilitation program to cleanse his action – two weeks to unlearn what pressure moments for years have done to his action. On the other hand, two weeks seems like too long a period – a stern word from Warne in the nets could well have done the job, considering that (in my meaningless opinion), his action looks bad only during pressure-deliveries.
