Kolkata Knight Riders vs Bangalore Royal Challengers Highlights – 2nd Leg

KKR Bat

Watch cricket highlights – Kolkata Knight Riders vs Bangalore Royal Challengers – from IPL 2009.

Scoreline: Kolkata 173/4: Brendon McCullum 84 (64), David Hussey 43 (27)
Ross Taylor 81 (33) takes Bangalore home

The NZ show today – McCullum and the Glimmer Twins for Bangalore. Finally.

The last 10 overs of either side exactly mirrored each other – 104 runs off 60 balls and two Kiwis at the helm of that kind of ridiculous scoring.

Finally, someone knocked some sense into the Bangalore management and both Ryder and Taylor came in for this game. Sometimes you wonder what these commentators are watching cos over the last couple of weeks all we’ve heard is how poor an IPL Ross Taylor has had – m*therf**kers, he’s only played half the available games and looked super in at least a couple of games before insane selections kept him and Ryder out. And it wasn’t like the players keeping them out were doing too great anyway.

For all the brilliance of the Taylor knock eclipsing McCullum’s effort, Kolkata’s defence of their high total was reflective of a team in complete strife – bowlers bowling consistently badly under pressure and players blaming each other in the final overs. Too bad McCullum has to helm a team that consistently wilts. Can’t blame them – they’re probably mindscrewed by a corporate coach doling out bookish quotations that are better located at the Quote for the Day corner of a newspaper.

  2. Manzoor says:

Wait till you guys see what Taylor did……….some good solid old fashioned ass whipping

  3. majid says:

    yah i heard… :(

  4. Adi says:

I think SRK deserves this shit…. 9 losses in a row… coz he denied Dada and gave McCullum a go as a captain… Now, SRK is paying back for his stupidity.

  5. Saravanan says:

SRK defamed himself by getting into IPL.
I dont think Ganguly has the energy and power to play 20-20 format, may be 5 years before would have been good. His fielding shows how old he is.

  6. nps says:

dont forget ipl is an investment for the owners…they don’t care about winning. ganguly was an investment to cash on his popularity in kolkata. last year kolkata actually made a bit of money in thier first year of operation even though thier record was ok…this year profits might not be that great given they are playing SA and have performed like shit…but return on investment is still very high for these teams as thier only major cost is players and promotion…stadiums are provided by ipl for a modicum of cost. srk is a marketing genius and a brilliant investor..just a bit unlucky now…i agree w/ assessment that dada is past his time to play any level of international cricket and ipl but still largely popular in kolkata…look at the anger over replacing him as captain

    Thanks online TV Team

  8. Manzoor says:

Ganguly is a great batsman when the bowler is not quick and / or keep bowling anything but the short delivery. He will hit them all over the park but the moment someone start dishing out short pitched stuff to him he is running for dear life………he is bad enough that even the tail enders play the short delivery better than him….pathetic for a top order international batsman. Still his record is great and I loved him for his captaincy. SRK got into IPL for the money and not for the game and he has done it rather well…….the game can go for a toss for all he cares. All said and done, this game too KKR was unlucky (like a few other games)……this is turning out to be really bad for McCullum & Co. Think about a team boasting of greats like McCullum, Gayle, Ganguly, Ishant and Mendis………and the think about that team lying at the bottom of the pool having only 1 of their 11 games………life is strange.

  9. Vinay says:

Mccullum has been in form but a couple of dubious decisions against hiom ahs made him wait on & on….KKRs bowling has been heavily lacking by an experienced bowler…No one to bowl at the death….RCB were good too only in the batting i guess…ROSS TAYLOR was a treat to watch…

  10. sanv says:
