Firstly, Sanath was back. Think it was a collective decision for him to be out of the last game, as the camaraderie between him and Sachin looked pretty much the same, this game.
The game also provided the first real sighter of Ajinkya Rahane (Kannadiga users of this site are urged to not misinterpret his first name – that’s really his name). Coming in at No 3, he seems to look a bit like Uthappa. While Rahane and Duminy closed out the Mumbai innings, there was a general feeling that they hadn’t really gone berserk towards the end despite the presence of wickets. However, the B’lore innings pleaded for someone like either of them as no one really showed the desire to hold up one end. The Mumbai bowlers however really bowled well especially towards the end and were able to snuff out any real/virtual Boucher threat. A desperately needed win for Mumbai just as it was a desperately unwanted loss for the Challengers.
