When T&T had Australia down at 83/6, I suppose they didn’t pay heed to the whispers going around the ground – An Aussie cricketer is never down unless six feet under.
Very often with tournaments, you forget who the runner-up was a year or so later. Unlikely here – T&T’s run will be discussed much like France dominates conversations centered on the last football World Cup.
Lee’s day out, but everyone knows and expects this sort of champion stuff from him most of the time. Steven Smith on the other hand might not have done with the ball and bat what Lee did, but my impotent selection committee had him in the squad for the upcoming ODIs vs India even before today. And today, there was even more of a presence about him – it’s doubtful if the potent selection committee will ignore him in the near future. Very similar to Piyush Chawla from India (except that Chawla has unfortunately been cast aside for what seems a long time to come), Smith could well be the next big thing out of Australia over the next few years.
Preplay: Often when a team has a run like T&T have had, they rarely stumble right at the end. But disciplined NSW bowling and fielding seems to tilt this a little towards NSW. On the batting front however, NSW have to a great extent depended on Warner/Hughes setting them up, and if they don’t get it up today, the middle order’s reaction would be interesting.
There’s nothing like watching discipline, class and dependability being taken apart by a bunch of marauders, so watching if Lee and co can cope is quite a fitting climax to a tournament that has been so-so.
My predictions, game of the year 2009.
my fully support is with T & T ,i fin nsw s vry strong side but still i hope t&t can win this game.for sure its going to be a crusal game so my advice to t&t jst paly positve game concentrate on ur fieldin and bowling as u have good batin line already.i think landal simons will be man of the match! so gud luck t&t

Oooy, it was only Moises who got spanked the other night. It was really Pollard who beat Moises. The rest of the both teams had sod all to do with it.
The other NSW bowlers did well.
Noticeable that Moises didn’t bowl tonight.

As a former New South Welshman (resident, not cricketer) I’m stoked that they took out the inaugural CLT20 trophy, however kudos to T&T for providing great entertainment throughout the tourny. They deserved to be in the final and it certainly makes the future of WI cricket look alot brighter after seeing their performances in this contest. Thanks Admin for a great site. Looking forward to the Ind v Aus ODI’s starting tomorrow…and more jumping around, whooping and loud hand-clapping in front of my computer.

Outstanding result for the outstanding team of the tournament. T&T had plenty of talent on display, and pulled off a fortunate win against NSW earlier in the tournament, but class showed through in the end.
Gods bless the instigators and administrators of this site who enabled me, living in the US (cricket hell), to watch this game.
