Scoreline: Rain-delayed 7 over game Scotland 89/4: Ryan Watson 27 (10), Kyle Coetzer 33 (15), Navdeep Poonia 27 (15).
New Zealand get there in 6 overs: Jesse Ryder 31 (12), Ross Taylor 21 (10), McCullum 18 (7)

The amazing thing with a 7 overs-a-side game is that even with the ridiculous individual scores above, a bowler with (eventual) figures of 2-19-3 can overshadow them all to sneak away with the Man of the Match (Ian Butler). Brilliant show by Scotland after Holland’s win vs England yesterday. They were right in it till the end despite the Ryder-McCullum show – 21 were needed off 12 before Ross Taylor took over.

Pregame: Update: The game’s finally starting – 7 overs a side. This really opens up the game and the odds for Scotland.
Yesterday, pregame felt it would be a tight game. But that was based on England’s shaky nature in T20 games. However, in my impotent opinion, doubt Scotland will be able to put one past NZ today unless something dramatic happens via Duckworth-Lewis, simply cos NZ are my prime culprits to whack the Cup this time.
