Scoreline: SL 262/3 – Jayawardene 79 no, Samaraweera 78 no, Sangakkara 50

A grinding sort of day: Dilshan circumspect mostly due to planned and good bowling by NZ, the most fluent batsman on show today – Sangakkara – getting out when he looked least likely (becoming Vettori’s 300th wicket), and Mahela and Samaraweera opening out later in the day. Not great, but fairly decent test cricket today.

   i’m sooo looking forward to this game! I hope sangakara gets a decent run this time, last couple of matches his wicket was lost in such a stupid manner. Run outs by team mates etc.
