The most interesting aspect of the Pakistan batting in the early part was the respect they gave the Irish bowling, without going bananas as they often can do. Afridi who’d played a responsible knock in the game vs NZ, looked to be getting back into some sort of batting form if not striking form. And that’s super for viewers considering Yuvraj’s exit yesterday. Think Hasan at the top and Razzaq to come is making the difference as Afridi no longer sees himself as the lone-hitter around and feels he can afford to work his way into form.
Ireland like against SL came up against a spin attack and pacers, their relative inexperience couldn’t really cope with. End of the Irish this year, but there are some players there, worth looking forward to whenever they next play international cricket. Until then, will miss their anthem played on a cricket field.
The big win by Pakistan today means their presence in the semis is no longer dependent on SL vs NZ tomorrow cos their NRR is better than SL now.

I was bit surprised to see shoaib malik at no7 who is one of the best player in Pak Team, so here it explains how well their strength is in batting as well as bowling department. I think they are the perfect team to win this world cup, as they have performed against New Zealand….really deserve to be champions of 2009…

first i think to ALLAH.in my openion its totaly teamwork.During the match every paki player faught for wining.and finaly ALLAH gave them fruit of hardworking.
i am also pakistani and i like that our country would be in front in every field. but these people are not sincere what they are doing. i bet you if pakistan would lose in semi final or either in final then you will see the people remarks on that. thats the only point i have that when we win we happy otherwise people attitude change in great rudeness. i have no quarrel with any one.

Shoaib Malik doesn’t deserve a spot in the team. I am not sure why coach is not sending Fawad ahead of mishbah and Malik.
Fawad Alam should be coming at 3rd or 4th in the order.

*Sohail Khan, Younus Khan & Shahid Afridi are not urdu speaking, they just play cricket in Karachi*
