Watch cricket highlights: Pakistan vs New Zealand – the 2nd ODI played on November 6, 2009.

Scoreline: NZ 303/8 Brendon McCullum 131 (129), Martin ‘Two Toes’ Guptill 62 (70) | Afridi 10-49-2, Gul 10-59-2
Pakistan 239 all out Salman Butt 59 (81), Latif 45 (52) | Vettori 10-37-2, Styris 3 wickets

Firstly, apologies for the delayed post – laboured net connectivity made uploads impossible.

Any game involving McCullum and Guptill getting runs is always more than watchable. Looking for where Pakistan faltered would be the wrong way to wonder about the game since it was more about NZ playing the superior cricket.

If anything, Latif and Butt seem too alike to open in ODI cricket – if an Imran Nazir/Kamran to shake up one end is deemed too inconsistent, wonder what happened to Shahzaib Hasan who played the T20 World Cup. Besides, inconsistency can be the result of inconsistent selection with certain types of players. When Sehwag came into the Indian team, Ganguly assured him that he’d play a minimum of 25-30 ODIs within which he needed to pull out a special knock.

One ODI game left before a couple of T20s – All we need now is a Ross Taylor knock to lend a satisfied feel to the series.

may this game be as fan as yesterday. what an inning by sachin- he truely is the little master!
if pak has to have any chance it is a must to have wicket in hand so the allrounder can play and free arms.

what a shame pak lost to NZ by this big margin!!!!!

nothing personal but such bad batting performance by pak batting…

  5. Zabi says:

Guyz Dont compare Sachin with some of Pakistans cricketers… All the players in the team are prefect but the luck matters!! sachin did 175 but for no reason still they lost!! Afridi Do some magic!

  6. r3ubs says:

SammyZ Pak lost not because of their batting but because of Brendon McCullum…

SammyZ you left this comment and revealed the result of the game when even the full game is not published on the website. I am just wondering what were you doing on this website when you already have seen the match some where else and just came here to spoil the joy of others. Shame on you man.
Can someone block these guys who spoil everything.

Try not to scroll down – with the sponsor added in the post, it just about blocks the comments section from view. But I think yesterday, by mistake I approved the comment even before the 1st clip was up – sorry about that – Admin

SACHINS INNINGS WAS GOOD BUT IF U CANT WIN A MATCH FOR YOUR TEAM & COUNTRY THEN ITS NOT AS GOOD AS IT GETS. I CANT RECALL WHEN SACHIN WAS ABLE TO RESCUE INDIA WHEN IT REALLY MATTERED.
    I REALLY DON’T…………
    SORRY ABOUT THAT…..

  10. Mike says:

Sahin can play this kind of innings only flat tracks , I have never seen his innings fast and bouncy wicket . You can compare him with Pointing, Lara , Kallis.

When he was around 18, he scored one of his best test hundreds at Perth. Also recall a tour of SA vs Donald where he stood far away from the pasting given to India. By the way, I assume you meant “can’t compare” – but Kallis? The only time the two would be on level ground is when Sachin’s bowling to him. But considering Kallis once reportedly asked his teammates how high they were above sea level while strolling on a beach, you never know his interpretation of that too – Admin

Mr. Admin, first of all thanks for upload highlights. I must say ,I was still right you mentioned just few of his good innings in 400+ ODI . Just look @ Pointing innings , he scores almost every single game and Australia won last five major tournament. While Sachin playing almost 19 years , how many major tournament India won. Mind you sachin was not included in T20 squad when India won T20 World cup. Dhoni is much better player and captain than Sachin at least India win the match bcz of his performance not like Sachin own performance.

Sure man, that’s your opinion and you have every right to think so. Cheers. – Admin

Hey thanks for the great highlights, had to go out to a party and am watching this with a terrible hangover but Baz McCullums century and the curse of Pakistans inconsistency and fielding is making me feel much better.

First time here but won’t be the last, much appreciated, love your work

    GO THE BLACK CAPS

I’m going to the T20 in Dubai next week, might go to both if the kiwis keep playing like this.

I don’t know how many people see it; but I do, admin…..write it down, I do.

I admire your patience. Being, a hardcore Sachin fan, I realized how easy it would have been to reply to “Mike” and co, with a whole list of Sachin’s accomplishments. But you are just amazing. Don’t think it went unnoticed.

In any case, I really pity people who downplay Sachin’s accomplishments. In fact, I think “match winner” is a thing that doesn’t exist. You do your best; and if the others in the team are worth a penny, they would win you the match.

Ponting scores big and Aus wins because their whole team is strong. Don’t compare with the Indian team of the past couple of decades.

Anyways, I like Sachin. But I love Lara more because i think his strokes have more of an artistry. But I don’t think Lara is as good as Sachin in terms of skill, temperament etc.

    Enough of my rant…

Fez, I usually don’t like to reply to a positive comment on the site because I’m more comfortable reacting to negative comments than saying what I should to someone like you who’s been here for as long as I can recall, always cheerful and positive – Thank You. And yeah, I agree, Sachin Lara/Brian Tendulkar has been my favourite cricketer ever since I stopped being obsessed with Sachin Tendulkar, who was preceded by Steve Waugh and Srikkanth. – Admin

  14. Shehzad says:

I just wanna say that Pak lost the match just bcoz of younis coz there is no need to change batting orders and also team line up.. i want misbah back on for younis khan..thats it..

  15. SammyZ says:

    Shehzad

I think it was lousy bowling and excellent batting by Brandon that trigger the outome of the match pak middle order just collapse two catches at mid wicket on slow bowling just broke the back bone of pak otherwise they were in this game

  16. zed says:

for some reason the videos wont play?

What’s the error you’re getting. Seems fine to me – Admin

  17. Naz says:

Hi there, you lots remember pak did win the first ODI and if they did not win this one dose not matter. And also india was not that good them self.

  18. tylr says:

new zealand will win the odi series and the twenty20’s but maybe not the tests, they bat like absolute retards in test matches, they bowl alright but they are so stupid at batting in test matches.

  19. zed says:

    theyre fine now thanks
