Scoreline: SL 317/4. Samaraweera 133 no, Sangakkara 104.
Pakistan had a poor day in the field – dropped catches, misfields and lacklustre bowling apart from perhaps Umar Gul and who better than Sangakkara and Samaraweera to take advantage after Jayawardene had played some classy shots (as usual) before getting out on 30. Mohammad Talha had severe no-ball problems and with Dilshan out there, Day 2 could see quick runs added unless someone produces a magic spell and the fielders back him up.
how on earth can pakistan expect to bowl a team out twice with such second rate bowlers. They only have umar gul as a decent bowler. Danish kaneria is absolutely useless on flat wickets and usually concedes over 100 runs every innings he bowls. kaneria’s last 3 test series bowling averages are…42.00, 52.00, 65.00. Thats pathetic, he should be dropped from the team. The other 2 bowlers are useless. arafat averages over 40 with the ball, thats almost as bad as mohammad sami. with such a poor batting line up, pakistan havent got a hope of winning this series without mohammad yousef. shoaib malik is useless, he cant bat…average of 36? thats poor. He cant bowl either. Butt has batting average of 28.9. faisal iqbal averages 26. One sangakarra is equal to two pakistani batsmen.
Pakistan have no chance of even winning a test match this series, theyre just as bad as the west indies. they need one miracle bowling performance like jerome taylors blitz of england …otherwise pakistan all they can do is play for a draw. how many triple hundreds can younis score just to save the match? its no different to sarwans innings against england. because the bowling is so inept, the batsmen have to score above their batting averages just to save the game. if their bowlers were any good, they would be batting for an innings victory.

Haaaay good to see Pak match too. I agree HUH, Pak needs to do some thing about their bowling department. Likes of Wasim and waqar ….
This match might also end up a draw just like the WI vs Eng one and thats no good for cricket.
