Watch cricket highlights: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka – a one-off T20 game played at Colombo on August 12, 2009.
Scoreline: Pakistan 172/5 – Shahid Afridi 50 (37), Imran Nazir 40 (28), Umar Akmal 30 (20), Abdul Razzaq 25 (17) | Malinga 4-28-1, Muttiah 4-30-0
SL 120 all out: Sangakkara 38 | Ajmal 4-18-3, Rana 3.1-19-3, Afridi 4-21-1
172 seemed like a falling-short total after the exciting start by Imran Nazir. Most of this was due to good bowling by Malinga and Muttiah who bowled mostly while Umar and Afridi were around. Continuing in the vein of his later-stages-of-the-World-Cup approach, it was a circumspect (relatively) Afridi on show, jsut going to show yet again that if he opts not to slog the bowling, he can make consistently significant contributions.
Sri Lanka’s problems in T20 cricket revolve around being unable to find batsmen who can support the Big 3 – Sanath, Mahela and Sangakkara. It was there in the World Cup with Chamara-Mubarak and continues now with Kandamby-Kapugedera. But they seem to be building a team and backing certain players, so guess it will take time.
A good way for Pakistan to end the tour after the horrors during the test series and the initial phase of the ODIs. And yeah, Afridi looks more convincing back-slapping and egging on his teammates, as compared to certain other captains going around who’ve attempted the same approach (KP for Bangalore).
Pre-Play: Afridi as Captain, a revisit of sorts to the T20 World Cup Final, Imran Nazir and Umar Akmal likely to be present this time around, Malinga perhaps rediscovering his form in a T20 format, Mahela in super form perhaps making up for the absence of Dilshan and so on – plenty to look forward to in this game

However I have a suggestion: Could you please show atleast one replay of every dismissal? Preferably for a boundary as well but that can make the uploads very long. Yeah, thing is replays of each boundary would make it too lengthy – usually put in a replay of a dismissal or boundary if I think it’s worth a 2nd watch – but yeah, that’s a subjective thing – Admin

Is it just me or is Sangakara acts like a little bitch at times? He appeared so damn upset at Ajmal pointing him to the dressing room as if he hasn’t done that before. Murly was an a**hole to all the paki batsmen he got out in Match 2(or was it the 3rd match?). Other Srilankan bowlers on numerous occasions through out the series have shown the paki batsman the way off, so I dont understand what the big deal really is. Ajmal was just fined for his sending him off while Sangakara gets to lecture all the Pakistani players on walking (see the Younis incident in the 5th match) or taking a run after a ball deflects off them. Just shut the **** up and play the game dude.
Highlights seem to fold halfway through? 2nd volume crashes at around 5:01 although it has buffered completely till 9:55. Likewsie for volumes I & III. Premature blank screens. Is there any way to rectify this hiccup? Nevertheless great work so thanks!
ps. Just before the screen blanks, the countdown timer appears and then it’s lights out. Have tried reloading-refreshing to no avail unfortunately.
Have no idea whats going on – not sure if it’s browser related – I check using Firefox and it usually seems fine except when the video site is down. Have had users mention that Safari has posed problems in the past. – Admin

What i like about afridi here.. The way he said i ask all my boys to play aggressively…I am sure he means that he wants his boys to play in attacking postion instead of defending ..

pakistan needs to be mentally strong and improve their fielding standards.they should specialized in fielding position.imran nazir should field at point.

This T20 side is the best side for world cup only couple of changes will have to do like they gotta bring sohail tanvir or Mohammad asif for Rao Iftekhar and fawwad alam for shoib malik…than next world cup will be ours..
