  3. HEY admin no problem you make a great job !

you got to get todays big bash game up some how DAVE WARNER went CRAZY he hit Shaun Tait for four 6′S in one over and it think made the quickest 50 of the tournament.

Don’t worry about the game it wasn’t great but if you could get Warner’s batting up it would be amazing.

    • @Adam – had a look at the schedule – no luck. But sometimes during a live telecast they do show spectacular hitting if any from a previous game, so during the prelim final if there is any such thing will include it

I want to see English blood …. can’t wait.

Parnell getting the apartheid-loving, pie-eater’s son out – proof of God, ain’t it?

  7. Thanks for all the hard work on this fantastic series Admin. South Africa deserved to win the series putting England under the most severe pressure in 3 of the 4 matches. England are extremely lucky to get out the series with a draw and need to work on both aggression (where were the fielders in catching position during SA’s innings here?) and consistency with the bat and the ball. A good measuring post against what is surely the best team in the world at the moment…

  8. that’s sweet revenge ……

I spoke in jest, Kev, if you read that. You should be the cap’n not that old public school pigface, ‘Straussy’. I was glad the Saffer crowd booed his whining comments about the review system during the closing ceremony. Said a lot about our batting that Belly and Colly were the best. If Parnell had played instead of Harris we would have been stuffed 4-0.

  12. As an Australian, I didn’t have a stake in the outcome here but I greatly enjoyed the series — a ton of drama and much excellent play with bat and ball.

Saffies are clearly the superior team, and by a mile, but the poms deserve much credit for doggedly eaking out two draws in a series that should’ve ended up 3-1 for SA. Onions and his bat the unlikely heroes in that outcome.

Just how did he survive both time, and in the third test in particular? Tremendous stuff.

That’s what’s so compelling about cricket — nomatter how certain a win, loss, or draw appears, there’s no guarantee until the last man is out or time is done on the fifth day. (Example, Australia’s magnificent win over Pak in second test — where I’d have willingly bet my house against it when I saw the Paks only had to chase down 175 or so in the second innings. Amazing.)

Great to watch Steyn & Morkel, probably the best 1-2 pace punch in the world right now, going at it with gusto. Collingwood’s 71, in context, was as impressive as Ponting’s 209 the other day, showing great fortitude and mental toughness — that is, until he got out to a complete rubbish ball from Duminy.

This happens in cricket. Anything can happen with any ball bowled.

Pietersen has got to be the most overrated bat in all of cricket. You hear a lot about the potential and the great talent but don’t see it realised in actual performance when his team needs it. He lets them down again and again. As here. He could learn a lot from someone like Collingwood.

SA’s an excellent team, even though I don’t like Kallis for some reason. I don’t know if it’s the belly and horse face or the ugly bowling action and gap-toothed smirk but I’ve just taken a dislike to the guy. (Loved it when Mitchell Johnson dinged him into submission last year.) But is Kallis a great player, though? Absolutely, I admit that because it’s obvious.

Admin has treated us to yet another great series of our favourite game.

@ Admin that would be great i was lucky to see it live but if there is a short clip of his innings during the final games i’m sure many would appreciate seeing it.
