Watch cricket highlights: South Africa vs West Indies – the 1st ODI from Antigua played on May 22
Scoreline: SA 280/7 Amla 102 (109), AB de Villiers 102 (101) | Bravo 10-40-3, Rampaul 10-1-46-2
WI 215 all out Gayle 45 (39), Pollard 44 (37) | Morkel 3, McLaren, Steyn, Botha 2 each
With Sarwan-Chanderpaul either injured or far from form, you either have Gayle firing and WI winning or Gayle and Pollard briefly entertaining at either end of the innings. The one flickering hope however is that Bravo ever since his fielding efforts in the World Cup game vs India seems to be slowly limping back to all-round form. If he, and someone else from a lineup that possesses far more ability than currently on show can get things right, this series could be saved from hurtling into the painful.

nice, anit get hope no more in west indies after watchn tht last game, show sri lanka and new zealand game
COME ON GYLE WE NEED GOOG NOK FROM U
it is 11pm GMT and no highlights!?
There’s nothing about WI Cricket that wort spending money to see, this may sounds hash but soon the sponsors may think it is a waste of time and spend their money on other things.
how long must we put up with the incompetence of the selectors who cant seems to find players to make a fighting team. it’s not just loosing but how you loose, ah fed up with the NONSENSE.
Better format that 20 overs game.No crazy shot so far.
very bad perfomice from west indies this is third match of series they have lost
but i hope they will fight back soon
full match i want to see show the full match plz every match i want ok and thank u very much too u ok bye
I am West Indian but I hate to see gale bat. He is prepared to hit every ball even before it left the bolles’s hand. The team has potential and is able but they play with no intelligence.
I am a west indian but I hate to see Gale bat. He is prepared to hit every ball even before it left the boller’s hand. the team is able but there is no intelligence. Look at how we lost the last two games, no body is trying to hang around. every body is playing like is is the last over.
Yes it T20, it is ODI, but the only thing that will happen when you try to fuss a boundry of an ecellence, you will get out. If you have to pay respect to the top bollers and hang arround for weaker bollers, do that. With wicket in hand facing the less experience, you can build mountain in a short while. losing wicket up front is terrible
The West Indies are no where near the level competitiveness required to successfully do battle at the international level.
It is a far cry from the bygone days of West Indian domination and calypso cricket on the world stage.
The time has come to pull the plug on some of the old hands on he team, those who have become patently unproductive, jaded and robotic.
That list, in my book, incluses Sarwan, Ramdin and Chanderpaul. Additionally, some of the newcomers do not belong on this stage: Deonarine and Fletcher prominent amongst them.
But where will their replacements come from?
West Indis may have to go back to the drawing board and start from the schoolboy level, hire more coaches and scouts to ferret out talents across the region. More on this next time.
