SL 239 all out Dilshan 41 (18), Tharanga 73 (81), Sangakkara 46 (41) | Ravindra Jadeja 4, Ishanth Nehra 2 each
India win in the 43rd over: Sachin Tendulkar 96 no (104), Sehwag 44 (28), Gambhir 32 (52), Karthik 36 (32)
A minor personal victory for Sangakkara in denying Tendulkar a hundred. This has some history going back to the 1st Test where Sanga appeared upset at Sachin and VVS batting on (despite offering a draw) so that Tendulkar could reach his hundred. Doubt if Sachin gave a damn though today – he’s got too many hundreds to care and the game was won by then. Sanga counted on the eccentricities of Karthik to come to the fore by bringing in the field and if there was anyone in the Indian team he could count on to do his will it had to be Dinesh. The funniest bit was Karthik’s guilty look after the six; almost like he couldn’t help himself and then regretted it. A friend of mine keeps saying “a hundred is a hundred” but a hundred is a hundred only if there is a fair bit of the game left, in the sense that a 90-out could have been a big-hundred-notout.

Some guys have commented requesting not using Youtube – the reason I’m using this is Dailymotion seems to still be an unsure option. Will make an alternative arrangement with Dailymotion tomorrow, if it’s working normally.

I dont understand what the f**k karthik has done. I really like his batting if i need to compare it with dhoni but today india is already about to win match without any problem so can’t he see sachin is about to complete his century and this man hits a six. what’s the use.

Kartik did a lot of messy work. India did well though overall. Zaheer Khan must perform better. From here on India must go on to win the series

Thanks for the highlights, very much appreciated, could you not upload with HD when using Youtube.
The dailymotion videos are HD most of the times, would be good if you could do the same for youtube as well.
@Daredevil – The HQ option with Dailymotion is a cool feature which retains the quality of the original upload. With youtube, it craps out a bit on qlty but if you watch the clips a few hours later, they tend to be a little better

A few users have mentioned problems with diff parts – must be something to do with your connection. Just refresh the page after a while and check again
@admin.. your work is one of the most underappreciated things. Especially for the expats, because the time constraints and availability constraints make it impossible to watch the games. By catching up with highlights, we are not missing much. Kudos.
( p.s. There are always anonymous freeloading shit who complain about not getting the highlights quicker or other things. 99 % of the viewers here don’t fall in that category. Please ignore them )

Part 3 seems to be causing issues for some users – will do a reupload once the final 7th part is done, because it seems ok for the majority and works fine for me
india were lucky as usual they never want to play a team when that team is at full strength so they can’t exactly call themselves the number one team can they.

Cool game for India, would have been icing on the cake had Sachin got the 100.
Sangakara isn’t as honest a cricketer as I thought he was. In part IV at the end of the clip he took the catch of sehwag and didn’t really appeal at all, then looking at the bowler pretended to appeal. The look on his face once he saw the umpire had given not out was of utter surprise. Hypocrisy I tell you.

Sachin is Great, not because he played well, because he played selfless for INDIA. Billions of blessing from indians for him and indians know he will get most hundreds from both form of cricket. He is keep playing for many more years too.
i don’t understand this fellow, tendulkar about to reach his century and karthik hits a 4 and a 6, how selfish. he could have taken a single and given Sachin the strike, but no, this bloody fool had to be a selfish moron and deny his teammate from reaching 100. very shameful, very very shameful. i’m going to write an article on cricinfo about this.
Delighted to see a pitch that had some difficulty for batting.
Doesnt matter whether it seams or spins or keeps low. make the batsman use ‘skills’ along with the bat.
Hope the winter season keeps the Eden gardens pitch a bit moist for the next match.

at one point we(india) were in big trouble but our spinners did extremely well to stop shr lanka at 239 runs. tendulkar kept india going in the batiin gline up. we got a bad batting start with a maiden in the first over but we(india) came back.I have seen all indian cricket matches since i was 8 and that was the best our spinners have came back.

Sachin should have got the hundred. He played considerably well. Dinesh Kartik, a stupid guy, I donno what to say for him… It was clear in front of him that Sachin was reaching close to 100….. what the heck
denish kartik should never be allowed to play another game for india selfish peace of sh*t benc**t harami how can you be so self centered when you see the savior of Indian cricket working so hard to get to his hundred and you hit hit a six, banned his shameful ass from international cricket forever.
