Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 2nd ODI Highlights – 2009

Watch cricket highlights: Sri Lanka vs Pakistan – the 2nd ODI played on August 1, 2009

The 3rd Day’s play at Edgbaston (Ashes) has been washed out for today

Scoreline: Pakistan 168 all out – Aamer 24 | Thushara 3 wickets
SL win in 43.4 overs: Chamara Kapugedera 67 no, Samaraweera 38 no

Another clueless-to-the-nipping-ball outing by Pakistan. It might not have made a difference to the outcome, but was a bit surprised that Imran Nazir didn’t make it to the XI today. You’d think Nazir falls into the Razzaq category – if available, he plays.

Pakistan did well to get SL into a 44/3 situation but held back Afridi a tad too long, but of course, this is all post-match impotent conjecture that doesn’t really matter.

Kapugedera has played over 60 ODI matches, hasn’t really stamped himself on the team, but has shown enough to be rated very highly by Sangakkara. You just get the feeling the way Sri Lanka back some players (Dilshan is a good example), Kapu could well become the player he’s being touted to be. I seem to catch only his worst performances (barring today), so have never understood the hype about him.

Only Younus is there in the post-match thing cos I ran out of time. And also because I’m in love with Post-match Younus.

Todays highlights between Sri Lanka and Pakistan is not working properly. we can not play it fully can you please check it

If the Highlights are for little bit longer it will be nice (May be for 20 min)

    thank you

Seems to be fine when I checked it. As for the duration, the video host has a limit of 10 mins. Also, it depends on the game usually – the more exciting with lots of action, the longer the h/ls here tend to be – Admin

I’m in love with Younus interviews too. He comes across as a real person.
Thank you for bringing me some cricket today.

Couldn’t agree more – there are very few people in cricket who talk exactly what’s running in their heads.

Dont agree quite with the Younis comments here. Looks like he is acting to be a captain cool though Pak’s batting needs a very serious approach. Some of the coolest captains like Steve Waugh, Mark Taylor , Allan Border, Arjuna Ranatunga, Saurav Ganguly, Stephen Fleming, MS Dhoni showed it with their mental resolve and tactics and not a so called carefree cavelier approach which Younis is trying to showing off.

Pakistan are gettin worse by the day!!Nasir Jamshed omg he’s crap 1st ball duck get Imran Nazir instead of him, a true quality opening batsman!!!!.Get Fawad Alam out and get Rana Naved Hasan in and as for Shoaib Malik well he’s jus having a bad run (out of form) he’ll soon come good. PAKISTAN ZINDAAABAAAAD.

I also agree with the Younis comment. He seems like a very confident guy. Speaks his mind, true that.
