Part 2
Watch Cricket highlights: West Indies vs England 4th Test highlights Day 4 from Barbados played on March 1, 2009.
Scoreline: WI 749 dec. Ramnaresh Sarwan 291, Denesh Ramdin 166, Jerome Taylor 53. Eng 6/0.
Sarwan went on and on but considering he’d taken all the excitement on Day 3, it was his protege of sorts, Ramdin who stole the day. Looking more responsible this series, this knock erased the blot of being the only current wicket-keeper in world cricket (among major cricket playing nations) to not have a century in test cricket. The best part for me, was when he was on 99, he practiced a leave among a couple of other shots. A dramatic moment for Denesh to achieve the hundred with Sarwan at the other end and the video includes an interview with the two at the end.
Ryan Sidebottom looked laboured on Day 3 (apparently does have some sort of injury) and looked the same today – in addition, he got into a confrontation with Jerome Taylor who walloped him and also got an earful from Swann for an embarrassing fielding moment. If Steve Harmison was dropped cos he appears unwilling at times, this selection was meaningless. No Harmison, no fun. Even if he’s thinking of football while on a cricket field.
A draw with the sneaky possibility of a win in case of an England panic attack looms on Day 5.
dude…where is day 5?
