West Indies vs England Day 5 Highlights 3rd Test

Part I

Part II

Part III

Cricket highlights: West Indies vs England, 3rd Antigua Test at the ARG, 5th Day highlights played on February 20, 2009.

Scoreline: West Indies 370/9. Test match saved – Ramnaresh Sarwan 106, Shivnarine Chanderpaul 55 – Denesh Ramdin, Darren Powell and Fidel Edwards battle it out.

An incredible day of cricket with West Indies salvaging a draw when England threw everything possible at them including a hip-debilitated Andrew Flintoff. One can talk of some close calls that didn’t go England’s way, the late declaration, the unavailability of Flintoff at his best – but the truth is this is a better day for West Indian cricket than Day 4 of the 1st Jamaica Test, considering the lead-up to this game with the Antigua mess.

Sarwan and Chanderpaul set it up while the lower order guts it out – when Ramdin battles to 21 off 76 balls and Powell and Edwards stave things for over 10 overs, it’s a brilliant draw achieved for WI.

  13. why on earth do the west indies selectors keep choosing donkey useless bowlers such as edwards and powell, these two donkeys average over 40 with the ball and cant bowl out a team even if you gave them 200 overs to do so. collymore and lawson are much better bowlers with much better averages below 33. its the same reason i dont understand why pakistan keep choosing a donkey like mohmmad sami who cant take wickets to save his life and has bowling average of over 50. youre not gonna winning matches with these bowlers who allow the opposition to score over 400 every innings.
