Yusuf Pathan 210 Leads World record Chase | Duleep Trophy Final

Scoreline: West Zone chase down a target of 536 (set by South Zone) and in the process set a record for the highest first-class run chase ever through Yusuf Pathan 210 (190).

Hope whoever was responsible in dropping Yusuf for Ravindra Jadeja is locked up in that Matrix-type room with those hundreds of small screens repeatedly playing this knock (with the dropped catches omitted). Every 1 in 10 games this guy will win you a match from a no-win situation and he’s sitting out of the ODI team. Absurd.

Delayed putting up this by a couple of days as I was waiting for a telecast with better audio. Didn’t get one. Have fun

  2. asad says:

he is the perfect batsman but fool indian team is not bringing him in ODI and Test these two brothers should bring in every match so they can take the match from the team oky so the should know so see now the indian team is now in terrible

  3. Afg cricket fun says:

    fantastic batting by pathan

  4. ADARSH says:

  5. karthick says:

I expected this video. Your service is appreciatable

  6. Chiru says:

    Admin,

The reason why YK is not part of the Indian ODI or Test setup is that you don’t have many international teams dropping the same batsman more than once, let alone 5 times like how South Zone managed to.

Anyways, thanks for putting up these videos.

    Regards,
    Chiru

  7. ValluKeddi says:

    Chiru,

Sorry but Pakistan dropped Hussey 3 times…

  8. sam says:

well said chiru.. well said.. as much as i want change.. steyn vs pathan in a test match…. *shudder*. dont even talk about it.

  9. styzian says:

this guy should be playing the second test against south africa

  10. pakistar says:

dont u ppl expect that southafrican will dropp 5 cathces lolz,,,,

  11. Rafiq says:

Chiru, what team do you play for ? F’n douche bag. Look at yourself, f’n loser. Atleats he managed to get those freakin 210 runs even though he started crampin half way through his innings. All that Admin was tryin to convey was he has so much of talent and guys like Saha, R Jadeja gets the place in the team and not YP. Try to understand the things better before using your scumbag brain. I do agree with Admin, YP deserves a place in the side for his allround services.

  12. Raghvendra says:

    Vallukedi..
ATM Pakistan is no way international level..

  13. abc says:

chiru/sam, admin is NOT talking about
test matches, he is saying that Yusuf
should be part of the ODI/20-20 team,
and I totally agree, both the Pathan
brothers should be in the team, their
bowling is no worse than the current
crop of no-good bowlers in the Indian
team, and their batting is a huge bonus
with the potential to win matches from
    impossible situations (remember the T20
match against SL in Colombo? the Pathans
pulled off an amazing run-chase there).

  14. Khan says:

    To Admin
Can you please post the world T20 Qaulifier matches in Dubai

    please

  15. Khan says:

    specialy the Afghanistan matches

  16. admin says:

@Khan: No telecast of it available on any of the channels I receive, so won’t be able to

  17. admin says:

For the benefit of the Yusuf fans out there, here’s a link to the T20 game abc was talking about
    http://cricket-online.tv/india-vs-sri-lanka-t20-highlights/

  18. raj_lanka says:

these guys shine up once in a while,so no international team can rely on these kind of players 4 test matches

  19. azeem says:

Dear Admin, and other YP fans,

I am also YP fan but , You and me so many times saw YP getting out irresponsibly when India is in trouble, wen u get 2 boundaries in over again lookin for the third by taking risk and loosing wicket……. dont you remember that?

YP got many chances but ….

we cannot depend on his festival offers

    Azeem

  20. niral says:

we proud of yusuf because he is from gujarat.

  21. Rafiq says:

Hi Azim, I agree partly he didnt value his wicket so much at times but look at the position he comes in and usually he comes when theres alot of repair work to be done. Hopefully if he gets picked this time he will value his wicket more.

  22. CRICKI says:

FIELDING HO TO AISI UNBELIEVABLE LUCKY YOUSUF THANKS ADMIN

  23. Maulik P. says:

It was just unbelievable hitting. Yusuf Pathan can’t be left out of the Indian squad from my prospective. I think he can win matches for India. He’s just the right kind of a batsmen India need down the order. I hope the selectors look at this perfomance from Yusuf before the ODI squad is selected for the one dayers against South Africa. If you haven’t watch this game I would have only one word to say “don’t miss it”.

  24. Maverick333 says:

Wat a horror of a match. Well played YP & DK…not taking anything away from them. But to drop sitter like these 5 times…these people are not even fit to play backyard cricket.

  25. Maverick333 says:

And for those of u who thinks YP should be in a test match…plz!!! Batting @ test match is about technique against moving ball conventional swing, reverse swing, spin. Again i am not saying YP doesnt have the ability, but this innings is against a very ordinary bowling attack where pace bowlers do not even touch 120Kmph and defended by a pathetic fielding unit. So YP has plenty to prove @ higher standards

  26. danesh says:

highly over rated innings.. he was dropped 6 times n a run out was missed.. that brings his avg. for the innings down to 30 odd.. no wonder he is not a part of the national team.. our domestic scene is really pathetic.. if these are the two teams in the final then i can only imagine wat the rest will be like.. that is why australia have managed to be so consistent over the years.. the quality of their cricket is so much better at the domestic level..
